LCL Spas START-UP FOR WINNIPEG WATER

Note: Start-Up Instructions for water outside of Winnipeg varies greatly.

*The following is based on a 1500 Litre Spa*
*These start-up instructions refer to the Spa Essentials line of products – (avail. In store)*

Helpful Hint: The caps on the 500mL and 500g Spa Essentials Balancing Agent Bottles hold approximately 15g leveled. Use this to measure your products.

As the spa fills with water, add ONE 500mL bottle of Stain & Scale Control 1.
** Make sure you use Stain & Scale 1, NOT Stain & Scale 2. **

After your spa is filled and has heated to at least 85°F / 30°C continue to the next step.

Add 15 caps of Alkalinity Increaser with the jets on high speed for at least 20 minutes and wait 1 hour before proceeding to the next step.

Add 3½ caps – 3 times (wait 2 hours between additions) of Calcium Hardness Increaser with the jets on high speed for at least 20 minutes. Wait 2 hours before proceeding to the next step.

Ensuring the temperature of the water is at least 85°F / 30°C, add 1 package of  Spa Shock to the water with the jets on high speed for at least 20 minutes. Make sure that the COVER IS COMPLETELY OFF after adding the shock to protect the life of your cover and headrests. It is recommended to leave the cover off for 1 hour.

** It is also a good idea to have the cover at least ½ off when adding: Brominating Concentrate or Spa Sanitizer to the water. **

FOR DAILY USE OF YOUR BROMINE SYSTEM (GRANULAR)

Before using your spa on a daily basis, add 10g per 1500 litres of spa water. Add Brominating Concentrate to the spa water 10 minutes before using the spa.

FOR DAILY USE OF YOUR CHLORINE SYSTEM (GRANULAR)

Before using your spa on a daily basis, add 15g per 1500 litres of spa water. Add Spa Sanitizer (chlorine) to the spa water 15 minutes before using the spa.

For additional protection, we recommend you add 45mL (approx. 3 caps) of Stain & Scale 2 per 1500L of water each week.

** Try and bring in a sample of your spa water for testing (approx. 200mL) within a week of filling. This will help ease your work load when it comes to balancing the water in your spa. **

We will continue to provide you with essential in home service & delivery.

  • Call or email to pre-book your service call & provide a credit card. 204-783-1112
  • You will be asked to disclose if anyone in your household is sick, or if you or anyone in your household are in quarantine
  • Please make all of the necessary arrangements for our service technicians to have access to your hot tub without them needing to be in direct contact with you.
  • If you are home, please be considerate and practice the 2 meter “social distancing” rule with our technicians at all times.
  • Our technician will not enter your home. If this becomes necessary we will evaluate on a case by case basis.
